Why are you the best suited for this position? (150 words)


As a life long Carlisle resident, I feel that I am suited for the city council because I have good communication skills and have served as the chairman of the park board for the past year.


What are your top three areas of focus for your position?


I want to see more transparency between the city council and the citizens. I want to try to work with the rest of the council to find more ways to encourge more manufacturing businesses to come to our city. I also want to find ways to encourage people to become more involved with the city government so that the council will be more aware of citizens wants and needs.


What specifically are you going to do for each of your top three topics? (200 words)


As I previously stated, I will try to work with the council to insure more transparency with the citizens of our city and again I will work with the rest of the council to try to find every possible way to encourage businesses to look at our city as a viable place to locate. I will talk to citizens to encourage them to attend council meetings or watch them on the internet so that they will be more aware of what's going on in the city government.


If you are an incumbent, what is your best accomplishment?

If you are a challenger, what do you think needs to change from the current situation?

There needs to be more transparency between the council and citizens.


What are your qualifications for this position? (150 words)


I am a graduate of Carlisle High School and Miami University and am currently chairman of the park board.


Property tax is one of the top issues for local residents. What are your thoughts on the current property tax issues? (150 words)


I would be in favor of eliminating property taxes especially for Senior Citizens if that funding can be replaced from another source.


State laws often impact our county and the funding of local project depends on the state budget. What is your relationship with the local state representatives and senator? (100 words)


Adam Mathews and Michelle Teska are the Warren County State Representatives and Steve Wilson is our Senator . I would love to discuss state funding available for our city.


How have you been involved in the community outside of politics?


I was a scout leader and sports mom.


Are you running as a slate or as a team with any of the other candidates?




Is there anything else you want the voters to know about you?


I am a very determined and hard working person and feel that those attributes will enable me to serve our citizens well.
