low taxes/utilities, good roads, manage growth

What specifically are you going to do for each of your top three topics? (200 words)

Continue to maintain a conservative budget, seek out grants to help with infrastructure costs, work with council to make sure growth strategic and unbridled

If you are an incumbent, what is your best accomplishment?

If you are a challenger, what do you think needs to change from the current situation?

Lowering property taxes & paying off City Debt early

What are your qualifications for this position? (150 words)

I am a Small business owner (24 years), a fiscal conservative, a Lifetime NRA member, and a social conservative.

Property tax is one of the top issues for local residents. What are your thoughts on the current property tax issues? (150 words)

Property taxes need to stay local. I don't think is wise to have the State manage/control our property taxes. It is much easier to work with local officials to address property taxes. If Columbus is in charge of managing this it will add another layer of govt and it will be harder for the average property owner to address issues with their property taxes

State laws often impact our county and the funding of local project depends on the state budget. What is your relationship with the local state representatives and senator? (100 words)

Good however, I believe it is better to work through our Mayor and Lebanon city staff to address these issues with Columbus

How have you been involved in the community outside of politics?

Marching in parades, helping with Trail Life USA as a leader, Safe on Main, supporting new business ribbon cuttings/ open house events.

Are you running as a slate or as a team with any of the other candidates?

Slate w/ Mike Cope, Scott Norris & Matt Sellars

Is there anything else you want the voters to know about you?

It has been a privilege to serve as a council member the last 3.5 years. I have enjoyed serving with Mr. Cope, Mr. Sellars & Scott Norris. We have lowered property taxes, paid off debt early, secured millions of dollars in grants for roads & infrastructure improvements, converted our fire department to full time, introduce grants to improve downtown buildings and much more! All to help keep our town a wonderful place to live, work and worship. I would love to have your vote and the opportunity to serve another 4 years.

Western Star Ombudsman Note

The correct spelling is "Matt Sellers," also currently running this cycle.
