Why are you the best suited for this position? (150 words)


There are many experiences and skill that make me suitable for this responsibility. First and foremost I am a local business owner in Waynesville. Buckeye Charm and Taylor’s Coffee and Creamery. I care about the future of Waynesville, its people and the quality of downtown. It is the heart of our community. I feel that I can bring real value to our village. I wish to preserve our village and the qualities it has.


What are your top three areas of focus for your position?


Advancement of our downtown area. Preservation of our rich history. Bring much need investment to our village.


What specifically are you going to do for each of your top three topics? (200 words)


Focus some much needed spending on our downtown region. Bringing it up to date with other similar downtown areas. Fight hard to preserve what we live about our town and protect it from predatory outside investors. Help locate investment funds from sources that with to elevate while preserving our village.


If you are an incumbent, what is your best accomplishment?

If you are a challenger, what do you think needs to change from the current situation?

We need a fresh look at our village, how it operates and how we can bring it up to date while still preserving the small town charm.


What are your qualifications for this position? (150 words)


No one cares more about the future of our town.


Property tax is one of the top issues for local residents. What are your thoughts on the current property tax issues? (150 words)


I think we should be creative in where we source some of our funding and be good stewards to the tax dollars.


State laws often impact our county and the funding of local project depends on the state budget. What is your relationship with the local state representatives and senator? (100 words)


Very limited but eager to foster relationships.


How have you been involved in the community outside of politics?


I spend much of my time volunteering in town. I place the Christmas luminaries out each year and volunteer on all of the festival committees.


Are you running as a slate or as a team with any of the other candidates? Not required.




Is there anything else you want the voters to know about you?


Only that I will do my best to grow our community while preserving what we love about it.
